Giving Tuesday for mobility

Getting around Houston is a challenge for everyone. If you don’t have a car, it’s even harder.

On Giving Tuesday, you can help Freewheels Houston help some of our neighbors by providing bikes to get to work or school. We’ve given bikes to immigrant and refugee high school students and veterans emerging from homelessness who need to get to work or appointments at the VA.

While we thrive on donated bikes and the efforts of volunteer bike mechanics, there is one more element that is critical to Freewheels’ success: financial support.

Without it, we wouldn’t be able to work in our shop space in southwest Houston; provide tools; buy tubes, tires, cables and other parts, and give each bike recipient a helmet, lock and lights.

Please consider making a donation today. Any amount will help keep the doors open and pay for tubes, brake cables, locks and lights.

If your employer offers to match your charitable donations, please let us know. We can provide a copy of Freewheels’ documentation of 501(c)(3) status.
