Deiky, a fifth-grader at Klentzman Intermediate School, received his Freewheels Houston bike on the same day he was honored for good grades in math and science–and just in time for summertime exploring.
He’s one of 100 Alief students (need to fact-check this number) who received bikes this school year based on growth in academics, improved attendance or other factors. Freewheels gave bikes to 14 students who completed a reading program.
