Bouncing back

Wrongfully accused and deprived of his freedom, his home and his job, Luis fought back. This U.S. Army veteran got the charges dismissed. Then he got a Freewheels Houston bike that he will ride to a job interview for a job as a welder.

Luis heard about Freewheels from a case manager at Harmony House, a supportive housing program. After picking out his bike, Luis stayed at the shop to help out, and he says he  plans to return to the shop for another volunteer shift. “It’s like therapy, listening to tunes and cleaning bikes.”
