Refugees from Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine, veterans emerging from homelessness and young people from low-income families have received bikes, helmets and locks from Freewheels Houston during November. Your support for Freewheels on #givingtuesday will help ensure that our volunteers will be able to prep and repair more bikes to fulfill requests that we receive on almost a daily basis.

We have provided bikes to 400 people during 2022, more than twice as many as we distributed in 2021.

People donate the bikes they aren’t using every weekend. Our program is the top listing on internet searches asking where to donate. Volunteers work through our checklist, making sure every bike is clean, safe and reliable.

Your support helps pay for new helmets and locks; tubes, tires, chains and other bike parts, and equipping our shop in Gulfton.
